A business friend of mine related to me recently how he was approached.
His price of a certain amount per month was submitted and then he was approached with a proposal to increase the amount charged per month to cover these possibilities; “…in case the Municipality has no money to continue the service or needs additional money to extend the service”.
The kicker in the ‘proposal’ was as follows: That additional money charged must be placed in a separate bank account and the municipal official wanted signing power on the account.
He refused this ‘kind offer’.
Makes one wonder just how many business people are not as honest and how many of these deals have taken place!
